The Australian Surf Movie Festival is now into its ninth season. Festival director Tim Bonython has dedicated the 2011 ASMF to Australia’s best aboriginal surfers including, Dale Richards, Russ Molony, Joe Haddon & Otis Carey.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011: ONE HD is pleased to announce that for the first time in the history of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour, The Quiksilver Pro presented by Land Rover – one of the biggest surfing events in the world – will be broadcast LIVE on free-to-air television.

We first heard of ‘First Love’ last year and the world premiere is finally set to go off tonight in Melbourne! ‘First Love’ recently won the Best International Documentary award at the 2011 X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Looking forward to creeping cruising around the red carpet later tonigh.

The surf report said it was pumping, I raced to my car… Wouldn’t start! Devo, grabbed my board ran to the beach… Managed to scrable over the ledge only to see 1ft slop, then I fell off the wall, landed on my board and snapped all three fins out! Didn’t even get in the water, what a sanga!
It was a full house at the opening night of SURF bike POP – An All Surf Immersion Exhibition down in St Kilda on Friday. Then it rained, really rained… It was funny at first watching the waves lap at the front door… Then it was inside, that was fun too until it stopped Ghost Mutt playing and we all had to leave for higher ground. Everything in the show is fine, so get down over the next week or so to have a look, so may rad artists showing their gear down there.
You should give it a crack, totally different surfing experience. Not something you will pick up and decide to only surf for the rest of your life, but good fun.
